1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using StanzaMia, you agree to these Terms of Use and any workflow-specific rules, policies, or notices shown inside the product. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
These terms apply to public browsing as well as registered experiences, including listings, roommate matching, applications, messaging, deal rooms, hold-payment flows, contract tools, and dispute handling.
2. Eligibility and account security
You may use StanzaMia only if you can legally form a binding agreement and are authorized to provide the information and content you upload. If you create an account for a landlord, property, or organization, you represent that you have authority to act for that party.
You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure, for all activity under your account, and for promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Marketplace roles and responsibilities
StanzaMia provides software, workflow, and coordination tools. We are not the landlord, tenant, guarantor, broker, property manager, insurer, or legal representative for transactions between users unless we explicitly say otherwise in a separate written agreement.
- Students are responsible for the accuracy of profile details, eligibility statements, verification submissions, payment actions, and communications with landlords or other students.
- Landlords and listing operators are responsible for legal authority over a property, truthful listing content, lawful pricing and disclosures, local compliance, and honoring commitments made to applicants.
- Users must not post content or make representations that are false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, unsafe, or unlawful.
4. Messaging, applications, and deal rooms
The platform may allow users to message, apply, schedule visits, and move through a deal room workflow. We may apply safety checks, content rules, rate limits, and moderation controls to protect users and the integrity of the marketplace.
Opening a conversation, receiving a match, or reaching a later workflow step does not guarantee availability, approval, or a final booking. Users remain responsible for reviewing details and deciding whether to proceed.
5. Hold payments, refunds, and payment processors
Some visit or booking workflows may require a hold payment from selected attendees. The interface may describe the hold as refundable, as a credit toward booking, or both, depending on the applicable workflow and the policy shown at the time of payment.
Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. Your use of those payment flows may also be subject to the processor's terms and privacy policy.
We may delay, decline, reverse, or pause payment-related actions where fraud, failed verification, chargeback risk, technical issues, policy violations, cancellations, or disputes reasonably require it.
6. Contract tools and legal materials
StanzaMia may provide contract templates, signature workflows, review checkpoints, or document storage features. These tools are provided for operational convenience and do not constitute legal advice.
Users are solely responsible for reviewing the final agreement, confirming that it complies with the law of the relevant jurisdiction, and obtaining independent legal advice where needed. We may pause or block signing workflows if trust or template-integrity controls are triggered.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not misuse the platform or interfere with other users' ability to use it safely.
- Circumvent verification, payment, privacy, or safety controls, including attempts to unlock hidden information outside the intended workflow.
- Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or systematically extract marketplace data except where allowed by law and by our written permission.
- Upload illegal content, impersonate another person, harass users, manipulate rankings, submit fraudulent listings, or bypass trust and safety review.
- Use StanzaMia in a way that violates housing, consumer-protection, anti-discrimination, privacy, intellectual-property, or payment laws.
8. Suspension, disputes, and enforcement
We may monitor, review, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts, listings, messages, payments, contract actions, or dispute workflows where we reasonably believe it is necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, product integrity, or enforcement of these terms.
If a dispute is opened, related workflow steps may be frozen while the matter is reviewed. Our moderation choices are part of operating the platform safely and do not make us a party to the underlying rental relationship.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StanzaMia is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, successful matches, completed rentals, user truthfulness, property quality, legal compliance by other users, or the outcome of any dispute.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StanzaMia and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the platform.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we may revise the date above and provide additional notice if required by law or if the changes are material.
Questions about these terms should be sent to the contact email listed below.
